Anything? I live in the central coast of California. We have a ton of wineries/vineyards here. I'm only 18 so I can't do wine tastings or anything, but my college does offer associates in Wine Marketing & Sales. Is it hard to get jobs in this industry? As someone marketing the wine and doing sales, what type of salary could I expect? Sorry I'm not too educated on the subject, but I am very interested in it. Thanks for any help you can provide.
I would also love to know more about specifically the industry built around wine *information*: magazine publications, online sites, etc.
I am writing a paper on the wine industry in Spain. I can't seem to find any statistics about the impact of the wine industry on Spain's economy, how big a part of the economy it is, money figures for import/export of wine. Also, where do you think the wine industry is going in Spain? Has it reached its full potential?
I live in Southern California and am growing grapes, chardonnay and merlot for the first time. They were growing great and now seem to be shriveling up. I water daily, a good soak. Is it now "harvest time"??
This is my first time growing the vines,I have been told that I should put some kind of stuff on them, please help me grow healthy grape vines, thanks very much.
I make home grown grape jam each year for holiday gifts and really do not want to hurt the grape vines. I have become very allergic to the Poison Ivy and it is getting out of control all througout the grapes. What do I do.

Wine Making- I am Canadian, and I am 19, so yes I am of legal Drinking age. I was looking into wine making because it looks like it would be a pretty good hobby. I was just wondering how much a wine kit would cost, and what i should look for if I go shopping for a wine kit. Basically what makes certain wine kits better than others.
...ruling out the obvious possibility that you might actually grow grapes
I am looking to sell the bulk wine
the first and the second year grape plants in winters? Do you dig them into the soil or cover them with something?
They say drinking a glass of wine with dinner every night is good for your heart, but I don't want to drink alcohol and risk addiction, so what's a better substitute in place of wine? Grape juice? what about wine w/o alcohol?
Looking to travel to a single vineyard for a day to pick and taste off the vine as many wine varietal grapes as possible without having to travel between vineyards.
It is said wine does good to heart. I was wondering if grape , which is the stuff that wine is made of, is also good to heart. Does wine have extra healthy gradients than grape? Thanks!
When low temperatures are predicted, what preventitive measures can be taken to avoid young buds from freezing
I plan on studying Administration of Touristic Enterprises (which deals with hotels and restaurants) and I am comparing various curriculum. One place offers one course at oenology and the other a course in viticulture. Whats the difference? and which do you think is better to know at this career?
I'm looking to earn a degree in Viticulture at either UC Davis, Fresno State, or CalPoly San Luis Obispo, but I'm worried about how far I can get in the wine industry. Once I graduate from college, what sort of jobs in the wine industry would be available to me? How much money would I be making? A few years down the road, what would my career look like? Thank you kindly everyone.
It seems that wine is revered somehow and taken to be a mark of culture and sophistication when drank. Is it because of its history? Culture surrounding it? Surely not because of some intrinsic value; any two bits will buy you a bottle of Merlot these days. My wild theory is that wine can only be grown by those close to civilization, or those with enough riches and landspace to support what would be an only mildly valuable crop (grapes, natch) on its own. Hence, an aristocratic habit which is then admired by the bourgeoisie. Nowadays it seems that skill in identifying wines is a mark of sophistication, as well as being a wine grower. It seems to be relegated to an older and perhaps more "distinguished" demographic.

You know Growers Wine Coolers.
With global warming seeming to be a certainty over the next 50 years, do you think that traditional wine regions like Bordeaux and Burgundy will just allow their wines to change as the climate changes (eg Bordeaux producing blockbuster Napa style cabs every year) or will wine makers alter their vineyard management and clone selection to try and retain a more elegant style?
I have been asked by a client of the vineyard management business I work for to take some photos of his vineyard for an advertisement banner for his vineyard. I am over the moon about this, but I have no experience with photography jobs. I can take good photos, and know how to use my camera etc but I don't know about the business side of it. I'm not sure how much I should charge for the pictures, as I have no experience but I don't want to rip myself off either. Any advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated, Thanks : )
